<p>A faucet (1) and coupler (2) assembly capable of maintaining water tightness even when subjected to high hydraulic pressure at the connection between the faucet (1) and a hose (4). The faucet having a discharge outlet (23) with a threaded portion (24) proceeding to a cone (25), positioned inverted and truncated at its apex, to provide an open bottom end for discharging fluid. The coupler (2) having an internal through passage (30) along its axis, an internal threaded portion (31) at its upper end and an internal circular rim (32) at its lower end. To effect a connection the end of a hose (4) threads through the coupler (2) locating on the periphery of the cone (25) and with the rim (32) of the coupler (2) holding it in this position when the threaded portions (31) of the coupler (2) and the discharge outlet (23), are sufficiently engaged.</p> |
