<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent capable of being surely fixed to a desired position of the lumen section of a tubular organ, and a method of manufacturing the stent. <P>SOLUTION: The stent 1 is used by being inserted and indwelt in the lumen section of the tubular organ of a living body, and is provided with a mesh structure and is in a cylindrical shape as a whole. A plurality of fine projections 11B1 is provided on at least a part of the area of the outer surface of the stent.
