PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system which has high resistance to information leakage on a communication path, and has suppressed management costs, and to provide an authentication system which has high affinity, in particular, with the current biological authentication system. SOLUTION: The authentication system 1 is provided with an authentication server 7 for authenticating the user of a client 3, and sharing authentication numbers different for each authentication processing with the client 3 and a database 5 for managing the personal information of each user of the client 3. The authentication system 1 is provided with a function generator 9 for generating transform functions based on an authentication session number, and the client 3 transforms information for identifying the user by using the transform functions, and the database 5 transforms personal information corresponding to the user by using the transform functions, and the authentication server 7 performs authentication processing based on the information transformed by the client 3 and the database 5.
