PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking apparatus capable of uniformizing cooking conditions while suppressing heating energy and water consumption and at the same time sufficiently thawing a food material composed of noodles by jetting out air to the food material without boiling the hot water in a hot water vessel. SOLUTION: This cooking apparatus is provided with the hot water vessel 5 capable of storing a prescribed volume of water and allowing the supply of the food material composed of noodles, a heater pipe 7 disposed at the bottom side in the hot vessel 5 for heating the water inside the hot vessel 5, a control means 8 controlling a burner 6 to keep the hot water in the hot water vessel 5 at a temperature immediately before the boiling, and a jetting pipe 14 disposed below a position to be supplied with the food material in the hot vessel 5 and having an outlet opened toward the position to be supplied with the food material. The outlet 14a of the jetting pipe 14 is opened at an approximately center of a recess 14b formed in the jetting pipe 14 and capable of forming the air to be jetted to the food material into a clump.
