PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily start operation of an encapsulated endoscope which is introduced into a subject to execute a predetermined function. SOLUTION: A magnetic switch 14 is arranged in a cylindrical capsule type casing 16 of the encapsulated endoscope 3 substantially vertical to the longitudinal direction t of the encapsulated casing 16. A movable electrode of the magnetic switch 14 moves to be brought into contact with a fixed electrode in accordance with the magnetic induction caused by a magnetic field of a magnet 6 applied to the magnetic switch 14 from outside of the encapsulated endoscope 3 substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction t of the capsule type casing 16.
