PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydration treatment method for an anodization film of Al or an Al alloy in which the tolerance of hydration treatment time is wide. SOLUTION: In the hydration treatment method where Al or an Al alloy having an anodization film provided with a porous layer and a poreless barrier layer is dipped into heated treatment water, the treatment water is substantially made of pure water, and also comprises ionic silica.
