PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new drug for diseases mediated by a Cannabinoid-1 (CB1) receptor. SOLUTION: A compound of the formula(I) is provided, being an antagonist and/or inverse agonist of the CB1 receptor. This compound is useful in the treatment, prevention and suppression of diseases mediated by the CB1 receptor. In the formula(I), Ar is substituted with phenyl or the like; R<SP>4</SP>is substituted with alkyl or the like; R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>, R<SP>7</SP>and R<SP>8</SP>are each selected from H, a 1-6C alkyl and the like; Z is selected from OH and the like; and Z<SP>1</SP>is selected from substituents and the like including a nitrile group.
