PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction tool for a floor, which drives a rotary brush efficiently by simple constitution. SOLUTION: This suction tool for the floor includes: a rotary brush storing chamber 8 formed in a suction tool body 1; a rotary brush 11 rotatably stored facing a suction opening 2 in the rotary brush storing chamber 8; and a guide opening 20 formed on the suction tool body 1 to suck the outside air, wherein the guide opening 20 is formed in a position corresponding to both right and left sides of the rotary brush 11, a guide for guiding the outside air sucked from the guide opening 20 to the rotary brush 11 is formed, and the guide is formed on one side of the guide opening 20, and composed of a first rib 21 formed on a position on the rotation center side of the rotary brush 11 from the outer periphery of the rotational locus of the rotary brush 11 and located within a projection range of a rotational locus of the rotary brush 11 and a second rib 22 formed on the other side of the guide opening 20. An intake passage 26 is formed between the first rib 21 and the second rib 22, and a discharge opening 23 for discharging the outside air toward the rotary brush 11 is formed between the tips of the first rib 21 and the second rib 22.
