The invention relates to a method for identifying squeaking noises inside an acoustic signal generated during the operation of a motor vehicle or one of the components thereof. According to said method, the acoustic signal is detected, an amplitude spectrum of the acoustic signal, representing the amplitude distribution in a frequency range, is generated at at least two moments, and the presence of a squeaking noise is identified by evaluating the at least two amplitude spectra. |
