<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material and a related method for manufacturing an intraluminal stent, which is to develop the material and the method for providing a designer of a device with an opportunity of designing the device for a specified use with engineering technology. <P>SOLUTION: A biocompatible material may be configured into any number of implantable medical devices including intraluminal stents. Polymeric materials may be utilized to fabricate any of these devices, including stents. The stents may be balloon expandable or self-expanding.
