PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic program guide (EPG) which is convenient for a user. SOLUTION: The image of a program table 50 including date information 25X, program title information 25Y and genre information 25Z is generated to display only the title of a program relating to a broadcast channel being received in connection with the title information, and to permit a user to arbitrarily register the displayed genre information.
