<p>Several handoff methods and terminal devices are disclosed. By means of the terminal determining whether the HARQ modes of the target cell and the original cell are the same in the soft handoff procedure of the terminal, the terminal could realize the soft handoff procedure successfully in different manner according to the specific situation of the original cell and the target cell in the soft handoff procedure. The embodiment of the present invention could be used in different application scene, for example, it could be used in the situation that the terminal could acquire that the HARQ modes of the original cell and the target cell are different before the soft handoff and the terminal could adjust the HARQ modes of the original cell and the target cell to be the same or the situation that the terminal could not adjust the HARQ modes of the original cell and the target cell to the same. The embodiment of the present invention could also be used in the situation that the terminal could not acquire that the HARQ modes of the original cell and the target cell are the same before the soft handoff; thereby the soft handoff success ratio is increased, and the disconnection phenomena of the terminal is avoided.</p> |
