<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling workability onto a vehicle providing a bearing device for a vehicle which achieves weight reduction and compactization of a underbody and improves an assembling workability onto a vehicle and an axle module equipped with the same, and to provide an axle module having stabilized quality. <P>SOLUTION: In a fourth generation bearing device for a wheel in which a hub ring 1 and an outside joint member 14 are integrally and plastically joined, a slit 34 extending in an axial direction and having a substantially rectangular cross section is formed in an inner diameter of a knuckle N1. A resin made boot 21 is fitted to an outside joint member 14. A boot band 31 externally fitted to the boot 21 contains a projection 31a, projecting radially outward from the maximum outer diameter of a constant velocity universal joint in a part of the outer periphery, and is contracted diametrically by caulking the projection 31a to fix the boot 21.
