摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both light weight and excellent strength of a golf club shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club shaft has at least one straight layer on the innermost layer of the whole-length layers, at least one bias layer in the whole length of the shaft, and at least one hoop layer on the outermost layer of the whole-length layers formed along the whole length of the shaft. The straight layer is made of fiber-enforced prepreg whose orientation angle to the shaft axis of the reinforced fiber is in the range from 0 to±15 degrees. The bias layer is one layer composed of two prepreg layers layered in such a way that the reinforced fiber in the prepreg whose orientation angle to the shaft axis of the reinforced fiber is +αdegrees and the reinforced fiber in the prepreg whose orientation angle is -αdegrees cross each other. The hoop layer is made of the prepreg whose orientation angle to the shaft axis of the reinforced fiber is in the range between 90 and 85 degrees.
