PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner preventing the rattling and coming-off of an attachment. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with a cleaner body 1, a flexible hose 2 having one end connected to the cleaner body 1 and having a hose grip part 7 at the other end, an extension wand 6 having one end detachably connected to the hose grip part 7, a floor suction device 11 detachably connected to the other end of the extension wand 6, and a clearance attachment 13 detachably connected to the hose grip part 7 or the extension wand 6. The clearance attachment 13 is fixedly connected to the hose grip part 7 or the extension wand 6 by engaging a projection part 20 or 28 formed in the hose grip part 7 or the extension wand 6 into an engagement hole 18 formed in the clearance attachment 13.
