PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent agricultural and horticultural plant disease controlling agents solving problems in conventional plant disease controlling agents and further provide excellent preventive and residual effects and the like. SOLUTION: The agricultural and horticultural plant disease controlling agents are characterized in containing 1,2-benzisothiazolin 1,1-dioxide derivatives shown by a general formula [I] wherein R represents a substituent such as pyrrole, furan, thiophen, oxazole, thiazole, imidazole, isoxazole, isothiazole and pyrazole which may be substituted with 1-6 same or different group(s) selected from a group composed of a 1-3C alkyl group, a halogen atom or a cyano group, or their salts as an effective ingredient.
