PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crawler device, an inside space of which is shielded by side plates, devised capable of avoiding damage to the side plates. SOLUTION: This crawler device is furnished with the pair of right and left right side plates 10, front and rear wheels 20 supported on front and rear end parts of the pair of side plates 10 and a crawler belt 30 suspended between the front and rear wheels 10. The crawler belt 30 has a belt main body 32 made of an elastic material and a large number of grounding lugs 35, 36 separately formed in the circumferential direction on an outer periphery of this belt body 32. Peripheral edges of the side plates 10 are projected at height H1 from an outer peripheral surface of the belt body 32 of the crawler belt 30. A cushioning protruded part 37 is formed on an outer periphery of both side edge parts of the belt body 32. Projected height H3 from a belt body outer peripheral surface of the cushioning protruded part 37 is higher than projected height H1 from an outer peripheral surface of the belt body 32 on the side plate peripheral edges and lower than height H2 of the grounding lugs 35, 36.
