PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow moving of video between devices by a simple operation.

SOLUTION: When a button 102 of an operation control unit 17 is operated while a display/reproduction unit 14 is reproducing a content A supplied form a content supply 12, a content information is supplied to the operation control unit 17 from the display/reproduction unit 14. The content information includes such information as specifies a content reproduced by the display/reproduction unit 14 and the information about reproduction elapse time. The operation control unit 17 holds a table for determining a destination of a video. It references to the table for determining a display/reproduction unit 15 as a movement destination. The obtained content information is transmitted to the display/reproduction unit 15. The display/reproduction unit 15 receives supply of content A from the content supplier 12 based on the received content information. The method and the apparatus are applicable to a remote controller for operating devices connected to a network.
