<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a player to select performance not to make the player be conscious of the presence of a light emitting function in playing and performance to make the player be conscious of the light emission, and the performance while shielding/opening the interior of the musical instrument to a player side. <P>SOLUTION: An opening/closing lid unit UNIT can take either a half open state or a full open state and enables playing of a keyboard section KB in the state of either. A cover 70 is arranged right above the rear KBa of the keyboard section KB and is visible even in the half open state of the opening/closing lid unit UNIT. A top surface 72a of a lens 72 faces the inner side of the cover body 71 in proximity thereto and is pasted with a sheet member 73 so as to cover a through-hole 71a. The sheet member 73 is composed of a translucent material and the light emitted from the top surface 72a of the lens 72 is visually recognizable via the sheet member 73 only when an LED 75 emits light.
