PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for a fuel tank exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance to fuel such as gasoline, alcohol separately or alcohol-mixed gasoline. SOLUTION: At least one side of a steel sheet is provided with a zinc based plated layer, the upper layer thereof is further provided with an organic film formed of a bisphenol type epoxy resin, a phosphoric acid modified epoxy resin, a modified epoxy resin having a primary hydroxyl group, a glycoluril resin and a metallic compound(s), wherein the metallic compound(s) comprises at least a V compound(s), the content of the glycoluril resin is 5 to 20 mass% and the content of the metallic compound(s) is 10 to 20 mass% to the total solid content of the organic film.
