MOVIE IMAGE SERVICE METHOD AND SYSTEM

A method and a system for a moving picture image conversion service are provided to enable a user to enjoy music and a moving picture on various size and kinds of display panels by providing various kinds of characters desired by users along with the music and the moving picture. The first database(12) stores two or more different 2D(Dimensional) still pictures. The second database(14) stores 3D virtual moving pictures into which the stored 2D still pictures are converted by a 3D engine. An image conversion mode selection unit allows a user to select and change one of the stored 2D still pictures into another picture while music and a 3D avatar moving picture are reproduced. A unit allows the user to select one of the stored 2D still pictures in order to covert a 3D avatar moving picture under reproduction in an image conversion mode. A unit reads a 3D virtual moving picture which corresponds to a 2D still picture selected in the image conversion mode from the second database, replaces a face or a body portion of an avatar with the read 3D virtual moving picture, and displays music and a 3D moving picture.
