The parquet flooring is made of wood or filling material. The individual flooring elements (1) may be square or rectangular and may have toothed edges (4) which interdigitate with the edges on the adjacent blocks. The flooring blocks may have dovetail slots in their undersides. There are several horizontal battens (2) lying on the support layer of the floor.
