Method and device for wrapping objects in a film

The method involves feeding printed products e.g. newspaper one after another essentially with constant speed to a welding device (1) by using a transport device (2). A welding drum (6) and a counter drum (5) of the welding device are driven against each other in a rotatable manner. Thermoplastic sheets are separated and sealed between the printed products in an empty intermediate area when passing through a welding path. The drums are dynamically driven by a servomotor such that rotating movements of the drums are controlled for adaptation to different formats of the products. An independent claim is also included for a device for packing of objects in an encased foil.
