An image forming device is provided to copy a both-side document by displaying a layout line indicating an area for placing the document on a stage glass and scanning the placed document. A light projector(113) displays the first area for placing the both-side document by projecting light on the stage glass of the flat bed. A scanner(130) scans the first scan data by scanning the document if the document is placed on the first area. A controller(170) processes the first scan data generated in the scanner. An opening/closing sensor(111) detects opening/closing of a document cover on an upper side of the flat bed. If a detection signal indicating the opening of the document cover is received from the opening/closing sensor, the controller enables the light projector to display the first area. An OPE(Operation Panel Equipment)(140) inputs a both-side scanning command for the document. The controller displays the second area for placing the rear side of the document on the stage glass by controlling the light projector. |
