An indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to make appearance of an outer case look better because an upper surface of a hinge cover, and an upper surface of the front door and the outer case are formed in the same surface by mounting a hinge in a hinge mounting groove and shielding an upper surface of the hinge mounting groove by a hinge cover. An indoor unit for an air conditioner comprises an outer case, a front door(400), a front frame(200) and a hinge(600). The front door selectively shields the front of the outer case. The front frame is equipped in a rear side of the front door, and forms a front part of the outer case. The hinge is fixed on an upper surface of the front frame, and equipped so that the front door is rotated. A hinge mounting groove is formed on an upper surface of the outer case and the front door by being sunken downwardly. |
