A user authentication-based access address allocation method and a device thereof are provided to allocate an access address such as an IP(Internet Protocol) address to an authenticated user only, thereby tracking a corresponding terminal if a trouble occurs. An access address allocation request is received from a user terminal(310-340). A user authentication result related to the user terminal is checked from an authentication server which receives a user ID from the user terminal and performs authentication for the user terminal(350). One of predetermined band access addresses is allocated and provided to the user terminal(360). ID information of a relay device is inserted or added within the access address allocation request, and the access address is allocated so as to correspond to the ID information.
