PURPOSE: A program guide display method is provided to divide program guide information and display the divided information in Top Down mode to allow a viewer to easily watch and search broadcasting programs. CONSTITUTION: Program guide information is classified by channels and kinds and stored. The kind, display position and movement time of a program guide are set. When the program guide display is started, it is judged if the program guide will be displayed on a TV screen. When the program guide is not displayed on the TV screen, program guide information according to the kind of the currently set guide is reproduced as a voice. In case that the program guide is displayed on the TV screen, the program guide information according to the kind of the currently set guide is displayed in one-dimensional arrangement on the TV screen. |
