A system for photographing a vehicle is provided to photograph a license plate and a container of the vehicle irrespective of traveling direction and speed of the vehicle by using sensors for detecting a movement of the vehicle along with cameras for photographing the vehicle. A system for photographing a vehicle includes first and second cameras(10,12), first and second sensors(14,16), and a controller(18). The first and second cameras photograph vehicles traveling on a road in forward and opposite directions, respectively. The first and second sensors detect a movement of the forward and backward driving of the vehicles on the road, respectively. The controller controls the first and second cameras based on a signal output from the first and second sensors. Each of the first and second sensors includes first and second sensing units, which are sequentially configured along the traveling direction of the vehicle. |
