PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a data block in a logical sector unit into a recording medium, in which a physical sector composed of a plurality of logical sectors is formatted, in a rotary disk type storage device. SOLUTION: Extra addresses #004, 005, 0026 and 0027 are secured in a buffer 17, then recorded data blocks LBA 10 to LBA 29 transferred from a host device are stored. Data blocks LBA08 to LBA31 are reproduced in a physical sector unit from a recording medium. A skip read section 29 discards the LBA data blocks LBA10 to LBA29 having the same LBA as the recorded data block from the reproduced data blocks, and sends remaining data blocks to the buffer.
