<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder storage container and a toner container in which the internal pressure of the container can be adjusted by an external connecting path, good discharge property of stored powder is maintained, and the sure and smooth discharge of toner is carried out. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a container main body 33Y discharging the stored toner inside from an opening part and a part to be held 34Y discharging the toner discharged from the opening part of the container main body 33Y from a toner discharging port and held in toner container storage parts 34Y and 70, while not rotating.
