PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of an imaging device, which prevents an error as much as possible in selecting a scan protocol and a contrast medium protocol. SOLUTION: In the operation method of the imaging device, the stored scan protocol storing an imaging operation parameter of the imaging device or the stored contrast medium protocol storing a parameter of contrast medium administration is selected from a data bank. In the data bank, the contrast medium protocol or scan protocol coupled to the selected scan protocol or contrast medium protocol is identified based upon the stored coupling parameter assigned to each protocol, and when existence is found, the thus identified protocol is output as a contrast medium protocol or scan protocol assigned to the selected scan protocol or contrast protocol.
