PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brazing filler metal wire for brazing an aluminum alloy which achieves brazing at the initial melting temperature (solidus temperature) of an Al-Si-Cu-based alloy or below, and has excellent fluidity. SOLUTION: The brazing filler metal wire is composed of: a hollow sheath; and cesium fluoride-containing fluoride based noncorrosive flux powder filled into the sheath. The sheath is made of a material comprising, by mass, 2 to 5% Si, 20 to 25% Cu, 15 to 35% Zn, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities after being heated and melted. Concretely, the sheath is produced from the clad rolled sheet of an Al-Si-Zn-based alloy sheet containing≤30% Zn and a brass sheet containing 28 to 41% Zn. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
