PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope processor for cleaning and sterilizing an endoscope comprising a body and a flexible tube. SOLUTION: The endoscope processor 100 comprises an operational housing 110 and a sealed enclosure 102. The enclosure receives the endoscope in the direction with the flexible tube vertically hanging down from the the endoscope body. The enclosure has a liquid inlet 122 and a liquid outlet 126. The working housing includes at least one liquid pump with a pump outlet connected to the liquid inlet of the enclosure and a pump inlet connected to the liquid outlet of the enclosure, and includes a circulation system for circulating the liquid through the enclosure by the pump. A sterilization fluid source 146 is connected to the pump. A control system 149 is programmed to control a sterilization procedure for the pump to circulate a liquid including the sterilization fluid through the enclosure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
