PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active hydrogen component for producing shaped articles excellent in mechanical properties such as bending strength and the like using at least≥1 species selected from paper and pulp as a raw material. SOLUTION: The active hydrogen component for producing shaped articles using at least≥1 species selected from paper and pulp as a raw material which has an active hydrogen-containing group and a specific vinyl polymerizable functional group and contains an active hydrogen compound (a) selected from (a1)-(a3) below or (a) and an active hydrogen compound (b) containing no vinyl polymerizable functional group is used: (a1) a polyol-unsaturated carboxylic acid partial ester or a polyol-partially unsaturated alkyl ether, (a2) an amine-unsaturated carboxylic acid partial amide or an amine-partially unsaturated alkylation product and (a3) a polythiol unsaturated carboxylic acid partial thioester or a polythiol-partially unsaturated alkyl thioether.
