SUSTAINED-RELEASE HYDROGEL PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release hydrogel preparation capable of regulating the elution of galectin-1 or a galectin-1 derivative in a living body of a mammal. SOLUTION: The sustained-release hydrogel preparation contains a cationic gelatin hydrogel and the galectin-1 or the galectin-1 derivative. The cationized gelatin hydrogel may have 10-60% substitution degree of a carboxy group of the gelatin hydrogel with an amino group. The cationized gelatin hydrogel may have 80-99.8% water content.
