When the HPD ( 104 b) which indicated that the transmission of a control signal between the data receiving apparatus ( 102 ) and the control signal receiving apparatus ( 101 ) has become possible is detected, the command judging section ( 115 ) ignores the first reception command which it directly received from the remote controller ( 103 ) and makes the second reception command ( 112 a) effective which it receives via the CEC line ( 104 a). In such a construction, it is possible to conduct a remote control operation normally without affecting unfavorable influences on the apparatuses.
