FOLDABLE BEDDING FOUNDATION WITH SLIDERS

A foldable bedding foundation (10c) comprising a first section (12c) is hingedly secured to a second section (14c) so that the bedding foundation (10c) may be folded for storage or transportation purposes. Each section (10c, 12c) has a base (20c, 60c), a plurality of wire struts (28c, 68c) pivotally secured to the base, an upper wire grid (38c, 76c) pivotally secured to the wire struts (28c, 68c) and braces (50c, 50c') extending between the base (20c, 60c) and an outermost wire strut (28c'( 69c'). Plastic sliders (122) help the braces (50c, 50c') move between raised and lowered positions. Lower connectors (18c) are secured to and extend between the section bases (20c, 60c). Upper connectors (16b) are secured to and extend between border wires (46c, 84c) of the sections (12c, 14c) to aid in the collapsing of the foundation (10c).
