PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for verifying program operation of a nonvolatile memory and a memory card including this device.

SOLUTION: This method for verifying a program of an integrated circuit card includes steps of: transmitting program data to a page buffer in the nonvolatile memory; copying the program data to the buffer memory and calculating a first checksum value for the data in the buffer memory; copying the data in the page buffer to the buffer memory and calculating a second checksum value for the data in the buffer memory; comparing the first checksum value with the second checksum value; and determining whether the program data in the page buffer are illegally operated by an external attack according to the comparison result.
