The control unit is connected with a display unit in such a manner that the preselection of the driver assistance system is temporarily executed on the display unit. The driver assistance system is activated and/or deactivated by a button unit, and the control unit and the display unit are connected with each other by a data bus. An independent claim is also included for a method for switching a control and/or regulation system in a motor vehicle.
