PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polymer composite having a high dielectric constant, a high breakdown voltage, good mechanical strength, and good machinability. SOLUTION: A composition is provided which contains a polymeric material selected from thermoplastic polymers, thermosetting polymers, and their blends and ceramic antiferroelectric particles of titanic acid zirconium lead, titanic acid zirconium lanthanum lead, niobic acid scandium lead, tantalic acid scandium lead, titanic acid niobium scandium lead, titanic acid niobium lutetium lead, or the like. The composition is exposed to a bias electric field to change the dielectric constant of the composition, and an electric field is applied to the composition to reorient the ceramic antiferroelectric particles.
