A dedicated read IC chip (25) ismountedonaheadsuspension (19). The dedicated read IC chip (25) is located closer to a read element. A stray capacitance of a wiring can be reduced. Moreover, the dedicated read IC chip (25) generates little heat. Even if the dedicated read IC chip (25) is located on the head suspension (19), an excessive heat cannot be transmitted to the head suspension (19) from the dedicated read IC chip (25).
