<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of reducing an electric load on an actuator in the optical pickup device in which recording and reproducing for a plurality of kinds of optical recording media can be performed, comatic aberration occurs in a specific direction in recording or reproducing at least one of them, and comatic aberration is corrected using the actuator with a tilt function. <P>SOLUTION: An objective lens actuator 11 mounted with an objective lens 8 for condensing an optical beam emitted from a light source to the recording surface of an optical disc 10 is tilted to an axis 30 perpendicular to the recording surface, and this makes an optical axis 8a of the objective lens 8 tilted by θs in the direction for correcting the specific comatic aberration to the axis 30. Consequently, in order to correct the comatic aberration occurring in the specific direction, the angle for tilting the objective lens 8 can be reduced compared with a conventional configuration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
