URETHANE CONTACT LENS CONTAINING SILICONE AND METHOD THEREOF

A urethane hydrophile contact lens containing silicon and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to increase moisture content and transmittance of the lens by using ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as a crosslinkage agent. A hydrogel contact lens contains a polymer composed of hydroxyethyl acrylate of 36 to 38.5 weight percents, silicon-urethane of 3 to 9 weight percents, N-vinyl-pyrrolidone 27 to 29 weight percents, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate of 1 to 1.1 weight percents as a monomer.
