PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of freely customizing setting information set to the receiver by reading/writing setting data written in an internal storage device inside the receiver through the use of an external storage device or data communication. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver connectable to the external storage device includes: the internal storage device for storing the receiver setting information and conversion data; a means for receiving data selected on a menu display; a means receiving data by communication; a means capable of reading/writing the setting information from/to the external storage device; and a means for converting internally the setting information so that a means for utilizing the setting information not only for the one and same receiver but also between different receivers can be obtained.
