PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for observing biological sample culture, designed to surely obtain images of proper exposure in a long-term biological sample detection. SOLUTION: The system comprises a means for culturing a biological sample inside, a means for making an observation with time of the biological sample by respectively photographing the biological sample under culture inside the culturing means by dividing into multiple regions, a means for obtaining the information on the positions of the respective regions, a means for determining exposure times in photographing the biological sample in the respective regions based on the light luminance from the biological sample obtained respectively from the photographed images of the biological sample in the respective regions, and a means for memorizing the thus obtained position information in the respective regions and the thus obtained information on the exposure times for the respective regions, through making both kinds of the information correspond to each other.
