A plasma display device is provided to ionize silver contained in a discharge electrode due to moisture contained in air by enlarging an interval between electrode terminals with a short preventing portion. An edge of a second substrate(102) is exposed outwardly from an overlapped region between a first substrate(101) and the second substrate to form a non-display region(202). Plural electrode terminals(204) extending from a discharge electrode are disposed in the non-display region. The electrode terminals are arranged in a row at a constant interval, and a short preventing portion(601) is formed in a region between the electrode terminals. The short preventing portion has surface roughness.
