<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by preventing the waste of time if image data provided by a server can not be printed when a client side is about to print it. <P>SOLUTION: When requesting the download of predetermined image data to a server 20, a personal computer 30 receives URL and printer conditions about the predetermined image data from the sever 20. Then, the personal computer 30 retrieves the printer satisfying the printer conditions from among a plurality of printers 32 and 34 connected to itself, and downloads the predetermined image data as long as at least one printer satisfying the printer conditions is found out. Then, the personal computer 30 prints the downloaded predetermined image data.
