摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing mechanism that combines a pressurizing-side shock-absorbing capability depending on a velocity of a stroke in a compression stroke acting in the direction in which a front fork shrinks, a shock-absorbing characteristic where such force operates as to push back shape distortion, accompanying large shrinkage of the front fork, by gradually increasing reactive force and shock-absorbing characteristic depending on a stroke larger than a given value. SOLUTION: As a moving velocity of a piston 22 increases, a free piston 28 moves to an upper oil chamber 24A side to increase a compressed amount of a suspension spring 26, thus improving the shock-absorbing. A given moving amount of the free piston 28 forms a gap between a bush 34 of the free piston 28 and an outer circumferential surface of a damper cylinder 18. Since oil in a lower oil chamber 24B flows into the upper oil chamber 24A via a penetrating flow path 35 and the gap, the free piston stops moving to thereby permit the impact force generated by a rapid impulse to be mitigated.
