PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper covering the upper part of abdominal region of a wearer and preventing the slipping-off of a waist part from the upper part of the abdominal region in being worn. SOLUTION: This development type disposable diaper 1 comprises a front piece part A and a back piece part B, and is substantially longitudinally long, the longitudinal both sides of the back piece B have a pair of elastic panel parts 8 and 8, the respective tips of the pair of elastic panels 8 and 8 have panel fixing parts 81, the respective pair of elastic panel parts 8 and 8 have elasticity at least in parts along the lower edge parts 82, the lower edge parts 82 have curved shape projecting from the side of the front piece A toward the ends 11 in the side of the back piece B, the pair of elastic panel parts 8 and 8 are stretched so that, in being worn, the respective lower edge parts 82 extend along lines at the root parts of the legs from the sides to the lower abdominal region of the wearer to fix the abdominal region expansion part of the front piece A by upward supporting it from the lower side via the panel fixing parts 81.
