PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of X-ray tomography allowing an operator to obtain projection data necessary for reconstruction of an image while confirming the electro-cardiograph information and confirming the value of the electric current in an X-ray tube. SOLUTION: The method of X-ray tomography 200 for forming a tomographic image of a subject with radiation from a radiation source 102 comprises an electro-cardiographic wave outputting step S204 for measuring the heart rate of the heart of the subject and outputting the measured heart rate as an electro-cardiographic waveform signal R, an output varying step S205 for varying the output of radiation based on the electro-cardiographic waveform signal R, a determination step S209 for determining the quality of the tomographic image reconstructed based on the projection data obtained from the varied output of radiation, and a display step S210 for displaying the electro-cardiographic waveform signal, output of radiation and the range of the data for reconstruction to form the tomographic image.
